Where do YOU find music?

Where is the best place to find music for MP3 players? Is this the same place you find music for an Ipod?

Are you talking about free or purchase? If it's for a Apple product like your daughter's iPod, go to iTunes. If it's for a non-apple mp3 player, I recommend WalMart's online music site. I think those are ¢ .88

People pay for music? 8-X

Actually, my son uses iTunes too. A lot of times (you just have to watch daily), they'll do some free music downloads. My kids rarely pay for any music as most of what they like eventually shows up for free. But then again, they both have quirky odd musical taste.

Ann, I didn't find anything better than Walmart for single downloads. But for my purposes, I used Rhapsody and paid around $15/ month because I was downloading a whole lot of songs and it was worth it. But with that plan, when you cancel it, Rhapsody goes out into the ether - it's like magic or witchcraft or something - and snatches the songs back off your mp3.

You can also rip your cds to mp3 format using Windows Media Player. When you do it go into your settings and make sure you select mp3, or it will still play but it takes up alot more space on your ipod.

There are several sharing sites like: Kazaa or Limewire. I wouldn't recommend it. There are LOTS of viruses, and I'm not real sure of the legalities of it.

I agree with Waynette about not using Kazaa or Limewire since you'll be putting your computer at risk. The guys at Bestbuy told me that Limewire, by far, is the most virus laced site out there.
