It's already December...

Oh me oh my oh... It's already December! Does anyone know what happened to November? Heck for that matter, where did October, September, and even August go? Seems like yesterday that we were swimming at the Beach!

Oh well, December is here and I guess it's time to think about Christmas! Country Comes To Town has already found the time to decorate and I guess I'll find a few lights and decorations before the Jolly Ole' Man climbs down our chimney.

But luckily I'm one step ahead of the curve on shopping. I've already ordered one for Mom, one for oldest child, one for hubby, three for youngest child, two for two of the grans and one for the other gran.

But what the heck do you get for a Country Comes to Town? Anybody got any ideas?

Where oh where did this year go? It sounds like you are way way ahead on the shopping. Since you'll have so much time on your hands, you can help me shop!

Ann, you're ahead of me on the shopping. I haven't even started, but luckily don't have too much to get because a few years ago we agreed in my large family to quit drawing names. So I've got it easy now.

For Jim, who knows? Doesn't the guy have every toy known to man? I'm thinking a big throw blanket. Last year I got mother a Berkshire Blanket at Bed Bath and Beyond and one for myself because it's incredibly soft and light weight. Get him that and one of those food baskets from Swiss Colony or something.

One year I gave my brother (a college prof.) a shirt tastefully embroidered with "Dr. Knowitall" on it. That was a big hit. You could put something on there that only your family would get-like an inside joke.

Sue that would be priceless... Mr. Thin Lips.

That's a possibility, Ann!

Ann ~ I knew you'd say "Mr. Thin Lips"

Sue ~ What a GREAT idea!!! Much better than my sheep!! =)

I'll take the blanket and basket over the embroidered shirt. LOL I'll lay under that warm blanket and eat beef log and cheese on crackers. LOL

Ann isn't this more fun than the old blogs? Nobody commented back then. Of course, if we make Sue and Angie mad, we're SOL once again. LOL So, be nice to Sue and Angie so they'll keep on a commenting! Now we need to get Sue to start blogging again.

Jim, I don't mind blogging myself, but just don't have time. Too busy poking into everyone else's!

lol.... I'll have to ponder on the shirt (wink wink)... Now I need help... JIM QUIT READING...
Now girls... take a look these Berkshire Blankets and tell which color you think would match Country's condo color schemes the best http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?order_num=-1&SKU=113847&RN=147&BTSMode=true&

Ok Jim.. You can come back now! :-)

Chocolate or Butter

I purchased about a dozen of these last Christmas at Costco for $14.99/ea. WE LOVE THEM!!

Ann said...

Angie.. Thanks for the Costco idea. I Love that store! Have to drive almost an hour to get there but it's worth it... (especially since I can buy gas there so cheap. When I paid $1.61 a gal. last week I felt like I was stealing it)

OMG I was about to write "chocolate" or "butter" and Angie beat me to it. LOL Actually chocolate might be nice. I have a butter one one with two hole in it but it keeps Country warm when he sleeps on the sofa most nights. LOL Now, what oh what to buy "Sister Country" for Christmas.

Jim, I think she may want a blankie too!!! That would also be great for Daughter and Hubby of CountrySis as well!!

Attention to little details is what friendship is all about (thus my choosing the right colors). LOL
Well, it's not totally what friendhip is all about, but I thought that sounded good. =)

Hey a Blankie to sleep under at the cabin would be nice. Chocolate or Butter would also work. But that store that had the bad Customer Service has that great Pepper and Onion Relish would also be nice..... yummmmm (can you tell I'm hungry right now)

Well Ann, Jim doesn't have to go to the store that had the bad customer service! He can order it online!! I think, since you're such a fantastic sister, that Jim will probably buy you both the blankie AND the relish!! Heck, I think he'll even get you MORE stuff! LOT'S MORE!
